Pinnell Dancers soar in life. Dancing at Pinnell gives students the confidence needed to excel both in and out of the studio. We take great pride in our students and encourage them to reach for the stars! Below are just a few of the accomplishments of Pinnell Dancers that set us apart from other studios.
AMY SPLITT-WRIGHT
Amy has performed in the opening number of the Tony Awards live from Radio City Music Hall, has been seen on the Rosie O’Donnell and David Letterman shows, danced and sang in CATS on Broadway, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber and Requiem Variation, and performed in Disney Orlando and Disney Tokyo.
BROOKE SHEPHERD
Brooke has been on tour in Germany with Helene Fischer and can been seen in music videos and has toured with Beyoncé, JayZ, Kayne West, Fergie, Adam Lambert and many more amazing artists. She has also danced on TV’s “Your Mama Don’t Dance”, “Glee”, “American Idol” and on the Billboard Music Awards.
RHONDA WATSON-NOTARY
Rhonda performed in the Broadway tour of Will Roger Follies and for years as a Rockette in New York City.
JENNIFER MORRIS-GRASSO
Jennifer danced in Broadway Tours of 42nd Street and Will Rogers Follies.
DEVIN BUCHANAN
Devin trained with Alvin Ailey and joined the Gus Giordano Dance Company, Chicago.
SARAH GROOMS
Sarah Grooms is a Radio City Rockette, danced on the MTV awards with Beyonce, in Diane Von Furstenburg’s Fashion Show, and in Oprah Winfrey’s celebration at Radio City!
KARALYN WEST
Karalyn West (Gliebe) is a Professional Model and Hot Power Vinyasa, Yoga Sculpt, and Paddle Yoga instructor. She is sponsored by GLIDE SUP boards and is a Lululemon registered instructor. Karalyn was on “Project Runway” and has magazine and book covers as a top model.
STEPHANIE LYNNE MASON
Stephanie was Maria in the tour of West Side Story, performed in Fiddler on the Roof and is currently performing in Million Dollar Quartet.
JESSALYN GLIEBE-KEYWORK
Jessalyn danced in the tour of “OZ” and appeared in Nike and Asics ads.
CHAZ WOLCOTT
Chaz Wolcott is currently in the national tour of NEWSIES. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University as a Dance Performance major. As a member of American Spirit Dance Company he served as Company Deputy and Dance Captain. He has been on The King of Queens, Good Morning America and in the national tour of CATS.
AUDREY WILY
Audrey has toured as a dancer all over the world in sold out stadiums with singer Chayanne.
ALEX TURCOLA
Alex toured with Beauty and the Beast and Emceed for a national dance competition.
ANTHONY LAMPRON
Anthony Lampron danced on the hit television show “Dance Moms”.
LAURYN LLOYD
Lauryn is currently dancing on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and danced at Busch Gardens.
DEVIN, JESSALYN & AMANDA
Devin Buchanan, Jessalyn Gliebe-Keywork, and Amanda Cardenas were seen on So You Think You Can Dance.
EASTON/SAFE AUTO FLASH MOB!
150 Pinnell Dancers danced in Safe Auto’s Flash Mob at Easton Town Center and were featured on Safe Auto’s television commercial.
PDC ALL OVER EUROPE!
Pinnell Dance Centre represented the United States as one of four dance companies invited to perform in the prestigious “Tanzsommer Tour” in Europe in 2001 and 2005, including concerts in Paris, France; Innsbruck, Austria; and St. Johann in Tirol.
OVER $30,000 IN CHARITY!
Pinnell Ballet Company has donated over $30,000 to Children’s Hospital and to Spinal Muscular Atrophy from our spring performances.
Ben Saraniero danced at Hershey Park, Kings Island, and on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Jimmy Heywood and Jody Layman won Star Search as a dancing duet. Jimmy Heywood danced at Opryland and has created his very own dance competition.
Karen Brown danced at Great Escape, NY.
Vanessa Chisom is filming and choreographing music videos in Atlanta.
Taya Elzey-Lukacsko sang and danced at Busch Gardens, Kings Island and with the Beach Boys. Tricia Elzey performed at Kings Island.
Autumn Edwards danced in Hawaii on Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Ashley and Devon Kincaid have performed on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Disney Cruise Lines. India Granderson danced on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Michelle Dowling and Amy Cheney performed on Carnival Cruise Lines.
Tanisha Alexander studied with the prestigious Alvin Ailey Company. Tanisha is currently a Cleveland Cavs girl and a Cincinnati Bengal!
Nicole Saul danced at Bally’s Las Vegas.
Lily Lewis and Rachel Zain were cast as 1940′s solo tap dancers for MAC cosmetics industrials.
The Pinnell Dancers are featured in the upcoming music video promoting the tv series “School of Hard Knocks”.
Pinnell produces an annual Christmas Extravaganza in conjunction with the Gahanna Lions Club, Gahanna Parks and Recreation, Kiwanis, and Gahanna Senior Dancers, with all proceeds of canned goods going to feed needy Gahanna families.
Pinnell hosted the famous Moscow Ballet Company during their Columbus performance because of our professional classrooms and floors.
Disney World holds auditions at Pinnell Dance Centre.
Pinnell Dance Centre is a community oriented studio that enjoys performing throughout Central Ohio. Some places we have been seen include: Fourth of July, First Night Columbus, the Columbus Zoo, Big Bear, Target, local churches and festivals, senior citizen homes, etc.
Pinnell alumni teach or own studios throughout the country including Chicago, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Orlando, Tennessee, Baltimore, Los Angeles, etc.
One of our favorite things is that no matter where Pinnell Dancers go they love their Ohio roots! O-H-I-O! Give Em Pinnell!
